About me
I was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. I attended law school in Washington state, and practiced law in Fairbanks beginning in 1977. I was a municipal attorney in Alaska for a few years, and then went into the general practice of law, including civil litigation, state and federal appeals, bankruptcy, and other areas of law.
During that period, I taught law-related subjects as well. A certified NRA firearems instructor, I was asked to teach the legal aspects of personal protection, as part of courses then required by Alaska for the issuance of concealed carry permits. I also taught college-level courses in such fields as insurance law and aviation law (I am a licensed private pilot).
In 2004, my wife, children and I drove to Florida for (what I thought at the time) a short period of time. One thing led to another, and we have been here ever since.
I worked for another lawyer here in NorthWest Florida for four years or so (2011-2015), helping him with his real estate foreclosure caseload, and other aspects of his law practice. I was admitted to the Florida bar in early 2016.
